Be'era shel Miriam was created from a simple recognition: women are hungry for Torah learning that speaks to the full depth of their minds, hearts, and neshamos.
Our growing library offers serious Torah learning in Parshah, the zmanim, Nach, Tanya and Chassidus, the inner dimensions of avodas Hashem, and the unfolding spiritual world of the feminine. Shiurim are accompanied by transcripts and learning resources where available.
New shiurim are added weekly. Our monthly gilyon brings this Torah into homes and communities in a form women can read, keep, and return to.
Women can learn through the website or listen by telephone through the Be'era shel Miriam hotline. Everything is offered free of charge.
Founded and directed by Baila Vorhand, Be'era shel Miriam is a growing wellspring of shiurim, gilyonos, and transcriptions created to nourish the heart, mind, and neshamah.

- Is everything free?
- Yes. Every shiur, transcript and gilyon on the site is free of charge. The site is supported by sponsorships and donations.
- Who are the shiurim for?
- The shiurim are given for Jewish women, in Parshah, the zmanim, Nach, Tanya and Chassidus, the inner dimensions of avodas Hashem and the unfolding spiritual world of the feminine.
- Do I need an account?
- No account is needed to browse the library. A free account is what lets the site remember you — so you can listen and watch, save your place in a shiur, bookmark shiurim for later, mark what you have learned and download files.
- Can I listen by phone instead of online?

- Are transcripts available?
- Transcripts and learning resources are available for many shiurim. Where a transcript exists you can read it on the page or download it.
- Can I download the shiurim?
- Yes. Once you are signed in you can download the audio, the video where there is one, and any transcripts, diagrams or handouts attached to a series.
- How often is new content added?
- New shiurim are added weekly and appear on the site as soon as they are uploaded. A new gilyon is published monthly.
- How do I receive the weekly email?
- Enter your email address in the sign-up form at the bottom of any page and you will receive the new shiurim as they are posted. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- How can I get or distribute the gilyon?
- The gilyon can be read and downloaded from the Gilyonos page. If you would like printed copies for your community, arrange a pickup from the Gilyonos page.
- How can I support Be'era shel Miriam?
- Through a donation or by sponsoring a shiur or a gilyon. Everything on the site is given free, and it is carried by the women who support it.
